António Augusto de Aguiar, 15

This building, completed in 1945, is located near the Parque metro station, on the corner of Av. António Augusto de Aguiar with Rua Eugénio dos Santos, which has direct access to the Eduardo VII Park.

Its 6 floors, intended for residential use and offices, are topped by an impressive turret. Two beautiful stone sculptures decorate the entrance doors, which lead to a spacious hall. All floors are served by a lift and a broad stairwell.

The project was designed by the architect Fernando Silva (1914-1983), who, after collaborations with the architect Raul Rodrigues Lima (civil prisons), went on to sign in his own name, having been awarded three Valmor Prizes for the designs of the buildings in Avenida Casal Ribeiro, 12 (1946), Avenida do Restelo, 23 (1952), together with the architect João Faria da Costa, and Rua Maria Veleda, 2-4 (1978).
