António Augusto de Aguiar, 19

Facing Rua Filipe Folque, this building was completed in 1946. It shares the architectural concept of the adjoining buildings, belonging to a prestigious and coherent group of buildings intended for superior quality residential housing.

It has commercial spaces on the ground floor and 6 floors of residential apartments and offices, all served by a lift.

The project was designed by the architect Cassiano Branco (1897-1970), a major reference in modernist architecture in Portugal and one of the best Portuguese architects ever. His vast legacy includes emblematic buildings such as the Éden Theatre, the Cinema Império and the Hotel Victory, all in Lisbon, the Coliseu of Porto, Portugal dos Pequenitos in Coimbra, and the Grande Hotel do Luso.
